DOKA- NG has provided with the ability to generate a QR code into the outgoing letter correspondence.

To demonstrate the functionality, the QR Code can be added to the original guarantee letter, e.g. to verify the authenticity of the undertaking.

Though the functionality could be activated in the “General System settings (DBxSYS)” for all letters, a sample is implemented for the guarantee original letter only.

To activate QR code generation, the checkbox on the ‘Letter layout’ panel must be activated, and the Base URL must be defined.

In the guarantee opening transaction, when a guarantee is issued via letter, the original guarantee is then containing a QR code. Once the QR code is scanned, it will lead to a website where the authenticity of the guarantee could be verified.

In the product base version, the URL that is added into the QR code contains the base URL as defined in DBxSYS + "/guaranteeauthenticator/" + contract reference.

In productive environments, the functionality should be activated only once the defined business case is fully implemented, i.e. when the target link is available and the customization in the letter templates is completed
