One of the more useful features in DOKA is the ability to pause a transaction mid way through, and then pick it up later after you have dealt with whatever the interruption was.
To Pause a transaction, you can either;
click on the back arrow in the ribbon , or click on the Pause icon in the ribbon next to the exit Icon
Both will give you a pop up to choose what to do next
You can Leave without Saving (abandon it)
Break , so you can return later, i.e. Pause the Transaction
Save, which will then try to Check and Save the transaction before exiting back to the Homepage. If any validation fails, you will need to fix that first.
Return back to transaction to continue in it.
Paused transactions then appear in the right hand panel, in descending time order, newest at the top.
They also appear in the Home page if you select Paused Entries as the filter, and you can use the Recycle bin/ Pending items transaction (SPTSEL to) get a different view.
To pick up a Paused transaction
The easiest way is simply to double click on it.
You can also pick up from the Office or SPTSEL by selecting it and Take it via the arrow icon in the ribbon. It will then be loaded complete with all the data entered earlier.
We can also view the list of paused entries with other filters such as for other Users
