Reevaluation is a process where the value of a currency is reassessed or adjusted based on various factors, such as exchange rate. This can result in either an increase or a decrease in the currency's value relative to other currencies.
Reevaluation of limits is a process that addresses fluctuations in transaction currency exchange rates, which change daily. The system uses the latest exchange rates to calculate limits based on the transaction date. This reevaluation should be conducted daily to mitigate the impact of exchange rate fluctuations and ensure accurate limit adjustments.
To re-value all Limit amounts at a user defined frequency transaction REOLSA screen in Doka gets to reevaluate all existing limits. In doing so, all the Limit system records are searched, and the amounts are converted into Limits system balance and Limit system sum per currency.
The identified limit system balances are reevaluated based on the currently valid exchange rate. The information required for this purpose come from the Limit System Sum per Currency: records.
The following limit types are available for re-evaluation:

Liability per Headquarter

Liability per Party
Depending on the selected type, a country, headquarter or party can be selected for whom a reevaluation of the limits has to be carried out. By clicking the Play icon the reevaluation of the limits is started.

Note: Before initiating Reevaluation, the system needs to obtain the current exchange rates and maintain them in DBIXRT for each transaction currency.
To reevaluate all the limits in the system, regardless of party, country, or headquarters, simply run the play icon without selecting a type. This will update the limits for the entire system.
You can review the log after executing the play icon.
