This transaction is used to make the repayment of the amount due by the borrower at the maturity date shown in the repayment plan.
All the open maturities up until the selected maturity date are shown in the grid, provided the Interest closure has occurred. The list can be restricted to show only 'suspended maturities' by checking the checkbox “Only Suspended Maturities”.
The quickest way to enter a complete repayment is to select the [Fill] button. This sets the paid-in principal and interest amount to the due amount for the selected row. Entering partial payments can be recorded by manually entering the paid-in principal/interest or differential amount.
The grid columns are defined as follows:
| Column heading | Description |
|---|---|
| Account | Account Number of advance account |
| Due Date | Due Date of the maturity |
| Principal | Due principal amount according to repayment schedule |
| Interest int. (ABK) | Due interest amount of agent bank (ABK) according to repayment schedule |
| Interest ext. (BOR) | Due interest amount of borrower (BOR) according to repayment schedule |
| Difference | Difference amount resulting from internal and external interest. A positive difference amount has to be paid by the exporter. A negative difference amount is in favor of the exporter. |
| Status | Status of the maturity, e.g. O = Open |
| Paid Principal | Paid principal amount of the selected maturity |
| Paid Interest | Paid external interest amount of the borrower (BOR) |
| Paid Diff. | Paid difference amount. A positive amount is paid to the exporter, a negative amount is debited to the exporter. |
The fully or partially repaid amounts are posted to the accounts, i.e., the loan account and any existing accounts of the sub-participants are used accordingly. If the maturity was previously suspended (i.e., non-payment by the borrower on the maturity date, see also Suspension of a maturity ), then the suspension accounts are balanced accordingly.
